1st week of school

Well the first week of school is over and now we officially back into the swing of things,(sort of). The boys love there new teachers and the fact that they get to see their friends everyday. I am glad because I was starting to get to my final strands of hair trying to find things for them to do. Poor Porter, he is having a hard time trying to figure out why he does not get to go with them to school, for instance, he wanted to ride with the boys up to school in the morning so I told him to hurry and get ready so we could go with them, well he was very fast and ran out the door before I was ready and he could not see the boys who were next door in neighbors driveway waiting so he left on his own. By the time I found/caught up with him he was almost at the school. I can't wait for preschool to start so that he can feel cool going to school.

Lake Powell trip July2011

I have decided that we at least have to have one Lake Powell trip per summer if not more. We packed up our stuff and had our first attempt this July sleeping on the beach instead of on the boat. It wasn't as bad as I imagined that it was going to be. The weather was great for the entire trip up until the last night when the wind and rain decided to show up, but that wasn't so bad either. All in all we had a great time.

Westons birthday party

So we had Westons 6 year old birthday party yesterday. He decided that he wanted a Power Ranger themed party, so that is what he got. We did races out side, had them each show off there best Power Ranger fighting poses, came inside and did stick the power ranger badge on the power rangers chest,(pin the tail on the donkey), hit the pinata, had cake and then watched a power ranger cartoon. Oh yea, we also opened presents that his friends brought him. It was a blast. I can't believe he is already 6, either he is growing way to fast, or I am getting way to old!!

Dallins first Pine Wood Derby

So Dallin had his first Pine Wood Derby. Tony and Dallin got all high tech and even had Grandpa help out. It was great. The night of the derby came and I had to remind Dallin that it did not matter who won or lost, only that it was important to have fun. He ended up winning first. I must say I was some what the proud Mama.

Dallin turns 8 and is baptised

Dallin turned 8 Feb 19th. For his birthday we went to Jack and Jills for some bowling fun. He took five of his friends, and of course Weston and Porter. We had a great time.
Dallin was also baptised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That was a special day. The feelings of joy are overwhelming when a child makes a decision to be a great example and to follow Christ. What a great feeling to be a parent. I am also very grateful that Tony was able to perform the baptism and then to Confirm him. Thank you to all are family that are such a great example to our kids.

Halloween fun!!

For Halloween this year our family decided to be Hunters, and well since I am not a hunter I was voted by all to be the deer. Tonight we had our ward Halloween party/trunk-or-treat. This is a great picture that we had taken, of course Tony is not in it because like every October he is actually hunting, and yes he did get his deer. Oh and by the way there is a tail that goes with my deer costume but you can't see it.

Birthday

Weston turned 5. Can you believe it, I sure can't. He decided that he wanted to have a dinosaur themed birthday party (since he has really been into dino stuff lately) so that is exactly what we had. I told him he could invite 3 or 4 friends, well that just was not enough so we ended up with 10. A little spoiled if I do say so myself. They made jackets so that they looked like real paleontologists, played pin the horn on the triceratops's, and hit the T-Rex pinata full of candy after which they filled full of dinosaur cake and ice cream. It was a blast especially for Weston.

On Westons real Birthday(party with friends 2 days prior) we decided to go fishing. We drove to Salem to a community pond they have and spent a couple hours their. Dallin was able to use his new fishing pole that he had gotten for Christmas, and Weston and Porter used Tony's poles. They all caught some fish after we figured out what the secret was.(spinners) It was a great day and the sun was out which made it all the better. Oh yea did I mention that Monson is already 6 Months old. Time goes to fast!!

I have decided that I am the worlds worst blogger. If I would just take the time to post a few things every week then I wouldn't have to play catch up all of the time. Anyway, life in the hutcheon house hold is going great, and with a few warm spring days under our belt I am now more than ever for the weather to be like this all of the time. A few things have happened in our family, nothing out of the ordinary, just life in general... Dallin turned 7. I know I look and act way to young to have a 7 year old but I do. He just finished up Basketball amd loved it but now it is time to gear up for spring soccer. Weston also gets to play soccer this spring and will be 5 this sunday and we are planning his Dinosaur birthday party as we speek. Its on Friday and I let him invite way to many liitle friends but oh well what can you do. Porter is reaking havic on everything but I think it is because he has been so bored inside. The last couple of weekson the warm days when he can go outside life has been much better. Monson is also growing like a weed. He will be 6 months on the 22nd and I am sad and happy all at the same time. I just love that little squidget!! I on the other hand am so happy that I can start to run outside again. Even taking Monson and Porter in the runner stroller is becoming possible again due to warmer weather and the fact that Monson can sit up when I strap him in. I also changed my hair. I love it but it does take a little getting used to. Its nothing to crazy just a lot darker. Tony is doing wonderful. He has had a few issues with some hair loss due to an auto-immune problem but we are getting that taken care of with a little help from my old work.

Knowing our blessings

I realized today how hard life can be and how when you think that you just can't go on there is someone else who can put you in your place. Tony and I have some good friends who were blessed to have their third angel only to send it back to heaven one hour later. They have known the outcome for awhile now but to have the day finally come has been hart breaking. As I read their blog I am suddenly taken back at the faith that they have. Just knowing them has made me stronger. They truly deserve only the best in life. Baby Aaron's funeral is this Saturday and I know that I will be able to feel the spirit stronger than ever. The room will be filled with angels. My heart and love goes out to my dear friends. I love you both and your to other boys.

Catch up time!!

Alot has happened in the last two months in our family starting with the birth of our new son Monson. He arived on Sept 22nd. What a joy he is to have in our family even though I thought that he was going to be a girl, he works just perfect. I can't believe that he is already 8 weeks old and he is laughing and smiling. Time really goes by fast and I think that it goes by faster with each child.

Then Halloween came. We had a lot of fun this year trick-or-treating, going to Halloween parties and just having fun. The costumes consisted of super heros again, a pumpkin that didn't think that dressing up was the thing to do and a tiny baby in a halloween shirt that had glow in the dark ghosts. Dallin was bumblebee, Weston spiderman, Porter was the sort of pumpkin and Monson well you can guess. Tony and I did go dressed up in cowboy apparal. Porter also decided to be a cowboy that evening.

We got Halloween over and done with and then blessed Monson. It turned out to be a wonderful day, not to cold and the sun was shinning. Family came and shared in the wonderful

blessing. It really makes you greatful for your blessings.

Life was going good when just last week Porter decided to curb himself and smash his upper front teeth up and back into his mouth. Let me tell you this is not an experience that I would choose, and for those of you who don't know what curbing is well its not pretty. Take your mouth and slam it on a cement curb and well you get the picture. So after I raced him to Creed( the Oral Surgeon) and had his mouth examined and a few x-rays done it was determined that nothing should be done and that more than likely his front teeth will fall back into place on there

own due to the miracle that nothing was broken or cracked.

So there it is in a nutshell, the past 2 months or so. Life has been crazy and somedays a little overwhelming but we are still here and for the most part healthy.

2 Stiches Later

So tonight Porter decided that he would puncture his eyebrow with the corner of the tire adjustment on the lawnmower. Tony and I debated whether or not to take him to the instacare or not but after about an hour of thinking and it still bleeding we ended up at the instacare and after careful examination we had to put him in a full body board with straps so he couldn't move and give him 2 stitches. It wasn't a pleasant experience. The worst part of the whole thing was having him scream for daddy to get him out of being strapped down and we couldn't help him. He is a trooper though because when he was done and he had his sucker in hand he smiled at the Doc and said goodbye.

Labor Day Fun

So for Labor Day we decided to take a trip to Antelope Island. It was great. The boys had fun seeing all of the Buffalo and the Antelope. They also got to make a candle and see just how the cowboys lived when their was no electricity. They had a great time. THe boys wanted to stop and go swimming in the Great Salt Lake but we had forgot to bring extra cloths so next time we go we will have to do that.

Best Hair Studio Near by!

My new favorite place to get my hair done is at the Olivia Jade Hair studio right in harvest hills. I love that they work some late nights so that moms like me who can't get away during the day can still go get their self pampered after the hubby gets home. If you have never been there I recommend you try it. I have my favorite stylist who I always go to but I bet any of them are good!

There is only five weeks until my due date and I have been a little frumpy so today I decided to darken my hair just a little and cut it just a little. I love it. Now I am tempted to think about going a little shorter but I'll wait until after the baby is here. I also hope that this baby decides to come early like the rest of them did!!

Family Bear Lake Trip

Last week we went to Bear Lake for our Haymond family camp out. It was so fun and the nice thing was that it was cheap and we had somewhere to relax and clean up after playing outside each night. The boys and I drove up on Tuesday and Tony came up on Thursday morning. We had a great time playing on the beach and Weston decided that he loves the water. We also went to Minatonka cave, golfing, had a water fight, and lots more. Tony enjoyed some skiing,(I was not allowed due to the fact I am 30 weeks prego,) we caught a frog on the beach, played in the water and even made a sort of sand castle. Dallin enjoyed driving the golf cart, and Weston loved being the rider. It will all be a great memory. I can't wait to go again before the summer is over. Alot has happened since April. Soccer is now over, Dallin graduated from kindergarten, Porter turned 2, I'm getting larger in size each day, but over all we are just doing the same old thing. We are still trying to decide on baby names. Here are some pictures for you all to view.

SOCCER STARTS

Spring soccer started again and the boys were so excited. Now every saturday is taken to go to soccer games wind, rain, or snow, and Westons was windy and cold and Dallins was rainy and cold. Porter loves his covered seat for times like these. This is Westons first year playing and so far he loves it. Dallin of course is all for soccer and he is really good at it. Easter 2009

I hope you all had a happy Easter. We had a wonderful day. The Easter Bunny visted our house and the boys were up bright and early to make sure. Then they did the easter egg pickup throughout the house. The fun part is them trying to find where the easter bunny hid there baskets. The easter bunny is pretty good at this. Then we had breakfast and got ready to go see Grandma and Grandpa set apart as Missonaries. The boys thought that was pretty cool. We then came home and went to out ward so that I could sing in the choir. After church we came home to change so that we could go back to grandma and grandpas house to have dinner and a easter egg hunt. The kids had a great time trying to find all the eggs that grandma hid throughout the yard. It was a great day, a long day but a great day!

Dallins 6th Birthday

Dallin turned 6 years old so we decided to have a pirate birthday party for him and his little friends. They all got to dress up like pirates. We played pin the treasure on the X (x marks the spot), going on a treasure hunt, and how many beans can you get in the jar. Then they opened presents and had pirate cake and icecream. Bear lake trip

We went to Bear Lake over president's day weekend and it was a blast. We got there on Friday night. On Saturday everyone who new how to snow ski went up to Beaver Mountain and went skiing. Tony was designated baby sitter due to the fact that he doesn't know how to ski. The skiing was awesome and very relaxing. On Sunday Tony went for one of his long hikes up the mountain above the cabin. He had a great time. The boys loved playing in the snow and sledding down the road. Counting our blessings

Lately Tony has been having a hard time controling the effects of his Diabetes and it always seem to happen early in the morning. The other night/morning I was awakened not by the children like usual, but by Tony who had somehow made it out of bed and come around to my side to shake me awake. Now for those of you who don't know when your body sugar gets low, some people are lucky enough to wake up on there own, but Tony never seems to be able to do that so it always ends up being me who finds him near death laying next to me in our bed, so having him wake me up was a miricle. Anywho,to what I was saying, Tony somehow was able to wake me but as soon as my mind kicked into gear and took over the situation, whatever angel was helping him left. I am truely grateful for the fact that our heavenly father loves my family so much that he will help me take care of them at whatever time of day or night it is. I truly believe that without him my life would be a whole lot different and Tony would not be here with me now.

First snowday of the winter

There was finally enough snow for the boys and I to go outside and play in. We made a small snowman and then went sledding on the hill behind our house. Porter loved the snow. Porter also loved to sled down the hill with the big boys. We of course had to come inside after we were done playing and have hot chocolate. I didn't get much else done today but at least we had a good time together and knowone got in trouble!

The boys love to make any boxes that I have emptied into a boat. This box happened to be big enough for all three to fit.
This is also a great way to entertain for a couple hours when it is to cold and snowy to go outside.

So for those of you who don't know Tony and I have received new callings in our new ward. Tony is the new Gospel Doctrine teacher and I am the education counselor in the Relief Society. This is new territory for the both of us. Maybe more so for me. Its amazing how the spirit fills you up when you get a new calling. Its weird to be over so many women. When I was in young womens I was only over about 10 girls so this is just a bit more. It will be good though. We love the gospel and are very grateful for the wonderful opportunities and blessings it brings into our lives.

Halloween Fun

This Year for our ward halloween party we decided to go as the Toy Story Clan. We had two Buzz Lightyears, one small Woody, and I went as Jesse. Tony was not included in our clan because he was hunting. If he had been here the boys decided that they wanted to dress up like Bullseye the horse. Maybe another Halloween.

This is our annual trip to the pumpkin patch to get our family pumpkin. We decided this year to only get one big one because we already had 5 small pumpkins at home.

We decided to put Porter in the pirate costume because it was easier and because I wanted to get a picture of him in it because all of the boys have been the pirate at that age. They had a great time. Even Porter started to get the hang of going to the door and holding up his bucket. We had a great time.

We went to ride the horses on Sunday at Hutchies house and come to find out Paige was hurt again,(Amazing), so Tony was the only one riding. The boys and I quickly vetoed that and we all got out turn to ride ted. The annoying thing was that he would only go for Tony or if Tony was in front of him leading the way. As soon as I decided to take my turn the dumb horse would not budge no matter how hard I kicked him. It was kind of funny. Porter and dad.Weston and dad.

Bear Lake trip

Our latest trip to Bear Lake was so much fun. We decided to stay on the beach most of the time so that the kids could play. Dallin and Weston hooked up with my cousin and played on there kyacks for a lot of the time. Dallin was a natural. We also went for a fun family drive up the canyon. We are all going to miss the summer fun up there.

1st Day of kindergarten

Dallin started kindergarten on Monday Aug 25th. He was so excited to go. I have to admit that I had mixed emotions about him going. I was so excited for him snd yet really sad that he is so big

Today we went to the zoo as a last outing before school starts. It was loads of fun. Dallin and Weston loved running to each animal exhibit, and Porter just loved getting out of the stroller.

Dallin and Weston were able to ride a sheep in the Draper rodeo this year. They were so tough. Weston cried a little when he feel off, but is was his first time. Dallin stayed on for a long time and ended up with a 2nd place ride. It was an experience.

Draper 5k Race

So I decided to run the Draper 5k and I talked Ben into running with me. It was awesome. I ended up passing Ben after mile 2. Grandma Becky and TeriLyn also ran, and of course they both beat me. It was a great time. .

4th of July campout

For the 4th we went camping up Ephriam canyon with the Haymond family. It was a blast until we decided to do some 4x4 wheeling in the truck. Lets just say it was an expensive little outing. Besides that the camping was really fun. The kids loved riding in Papas jeep. Tony could of used somewhere to go fishing though.

Fun at the dinosaur museum

For preschool Dallin class went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. We were all able to go and have a good time with him. Weston thought is was so cool to see all of the dinosaurs.
